In the last few weeks, the Chinese Truck of the Year Jury selected Foton Daimler Auman Galaxy as “The 2022 Chinese Truck of the Year” (CTOY 2022).
The JAC Gallop V7, received the runner-up prize. Based on the appraisal rules, the Chinese Truck of the Year (CTOY) Award is intended to be awarded to Chinese brand trucks with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of more than 3.5 tonnes released and launched on the market in the past 12 months. The key indicators of appraisal include economy, safety, comfort, environmental protection, TCO (total cost of ownership), etc.
Members of the Chinese Truck of the Year Jury praised the “Super HDT Equipped with A Super-Powertrain” consisting of aCummins A13 national VI-580 PS diesel engine, ZF 12-gear AMT automatic transmission and integrated retarder.
On behalf of the Jury, Yu Jing, Chairman of the Chinese Truck of the Year Jury, said: “ The advent of Auman Galaxy has left a solid track of Auman in exploring the path to high-end heavy trucks: it not only shows the upgrading of both power and emission of the products, but also makes a new design and overall optimization from the aspects of vehicle function and appearance, and interprets the connotation and temperament of high-end heavy trucks from inside to outside, thereby reflecting the great protection and care for drivers and passengers, and offering logistics users room for the improvement of future operational value.”
