A major player in the European light commercial vehicle market, PEUGEOT is celebrating the success of two of its best sellers: the compact Partner van celebrates its 30th anniversary with more than 2.6 million units sold across three generations (including Rifter).
PEUGEOT PARTNER: Three Generations Supporting Professionals
Launched in 1996, the first-generation PEUGEOT PARTNER disrupted the market with an innovative approach to the compact van segment, combining robustness, generous load capacity and a high level of driving comfort. The PARTNER quickly established itself as a trusted business tool, recognised for its reliability, durability and versatility.
In 2008, the second-generation PARTNER grew in size to offer even greater load volume and payload. More comfortable and technologically advanced, it also benefited from improved road manners and enhanced efficiency.
Introduced in 2018 (winner of the International Van of the Year Award 2019) and substantially updated in 2023, the third-generation PARTNER, built on the advanced EMP2 platform, adopted the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit in line with the Brand’s passenger car range. Available in standard and long wheelbase versions (with the latter also offered as a crew van), it marked a significant step forward with the introduction of the fully electric E-PARTNER alongside petrol and diesel powertrains. A mild hybrid version will join the range from 2027.

A Growing Range with the PARTNER Active and PARTNER Pro Skill
Thirty years after its launch, the PARTNER remains one of the best-selling models in the compact van segment. PEUGEOT continues to expand the range to meet the evolving needs of professionals with even greater precision and efficiency.
The new PARTNER Active, revealed in June 2026, offers a more accessible entry point while delivering the essential features professionals need, including an innovative interior layout designed to make driving and day-to-day work easier. The PARTNER Active is equipped with Flexiseat, a modular passenger seat whose cushion folds vertically in seconds, increasing load volume by up to 0.5m³.
PEUGEOT will showcase the PARTNER Pro Skill at IAA Transportation in Hanover from 14 to 20 September. Designed for professionals operating in the most demanding environments, the PARTNER Pro Skill comes as standard with the Construction Pack, which includes increased ground clearance, engine underbody protection and Grip Control with Hill Descent Assist. It is also available with a Dangel-developed four-wheel-drive conversion.
