In line with Government directives to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, DAF Trucks Ireland has reduced operations to a minimum for two weeks. The distributor and retailer for the Dutch truck brand will continue to provide customers with 24/7 on-call emergency repairs and parts supply.
DAF Trucks Ireland Managing Director, Simon Teevan, explained: “Our primary objective is to protect the health of our employees and customers, and their families. We are committed to doing everything we can to support the wider community in bringing an end to this pandemic. However, we recognise the important role our aftersales operation will continue to play to support food, courier, fuel, pharma and public transport operators as they continue to provide essential supplies and services during this critical time for our country.”
As a result, DAF Trucks Ireland’s nationwide network of dealers, and their eight TRP all-makes parts stores, will continue to provide essential emergency repairs and parts availability on an on-call basis. DAF Trucks Ireland Aftersales Director, Arthur O’Sullivan, commented: “We have put stringent procedures in place to ensure we can support our customers when they need us, while ensuring that the health and well-being of our staff, customers and communities is protected at all times. Our emergency response team will be on-call around the clock, so if a customer needs us – we’ll be there to keep the critical supply chains of our country moving.”
