Donegal Commercial Vehicles teams-up with BUMBLEance

Speaking at the launch of the Saoirse Foundation BUMBLEance collaboration with Donegal Commercial Vehicles, its Managing Director, Brendan McDaid said: “We are only delighted to partner with Saoirse Foundation BUMBLEance National Children’s Ambulance Service. All our staff are local and our ethos is to invest back into our local community. We are excited to be working with such a great charity and by giving them free vehicle maintenance allows us to contribute to the local region.”

BUMBLEance provides help and support to sick children and their families as they travel to and from home to hospital, national treatment centres, and respite and hospice care facilities nationwide. The service also provides a unique and specialized service through end of life Angel Trips, which is the final journey a terminally ill child takes on earth before he or she grows their Angel Wings.

BUMBLEance is the first and only ambulance service specifically designed and tailored for sick children. The service provides a complimentary service to sick children and their families and provides a fully qualified professional paramedic on board. The Mercedes-Benz BUMBLEance vehicles are fully kitted-out with a TV, play station, DVD’s, music, fun BUMBLEance branding interior and exterior and sensory lighting. BUMBLEance also provides a Chemo Cab service and enables both the sick child and family members to travel with their loved ones in a safe, comfortable, fun and secure environment.

 In 2015, Donegal Commercial Vehicles opened a second premises in Drumkeen, near Letterkenny and stocks carry a large selection of new and used commercial vehicles and has built-up a strong reputation for top quality commercial repair and maintenance services throughout the North-West.
