The world’s first all-electric light truck in series production the FUSO eCanter was revealed on Wednesday 3 October to Irish customers in Weston Airport, with Minister Denis Naughten present for the event and to take a test drive in the zero emission eCanter.
Billy Riordan, CEO of Frank Keane Group, importers and distributors of FUSO Trucks in the Irish Republic & Northern Ireland commented that the Frank Keane Group is delighted to be able to showcase the eCanter, the first full electric truck for the Irish Market. “It is a significant environmental and technological step towards Ireland’s sustainable transport future and will be a great addition to the FUSO Canter range. The chassis cab payload on the 7.5 tonne GVW eCanter is 4.3 tonnes which is class leading, especially as a zero emission vehicle.”
