International Webinar: The Importance of Human Capital in COVID-19 Recovery


The International division of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) is hosting a webinar that provides transport operators some ideas to help them and their staff returning to work. It’s on today, so register for this event now! 

CILT International extends an invitation to join their eighth international webinar on the theme of The Importance of Human Capital in Covid-19 Recovery to be held on Wednesday 29 July at 12:00am.

This webinar will look at how countries have been responding in different ways to Covid-19, focusing on the themes of skills retention, re-skilling and investment in people.

It will be hosted by Jon Harris, CILT International Education Strategy & Business Development Lead who will deliver CILT research into the changing dynamics of training and professional development.

Guest Speaker Mohamad B. Jamil, Partner MEIRC Training & Consultancy, Dubai will present on Learning and Development: Past – Present.

Larry Tweed, Market Systems Advisor, USAID Competitiveness, Trade, & Jobs in Central Asia, Kazakhstan will address The Importance of Collaboration and Skills Development – The Central Asia Experience.

Dr Namali Sirisoma, Dean, Faculty of Management, Social Sciences & Humanities, General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University, Sri Lanka will discuss Maintaining Education and Learning – The Sri Lanka Experience.

Panellists will also be joined by Jan Steenberg, Chair of CILT’s International Education Standards Committee for a Q&A session.
