IVECO BUS will support the electrification of the Limoges Metropole transport network through two tenders. The first contract, awarded as lead partner in a consortium with Dalkia Electrotechnics, covers the supply of 18-metre BRT electric buses, as well as the sizing, supply, commissioning and maintenance of on-route charging infrastructure, and transport system supervision. The second contract covers the supply of 12-metre electric buses.
IVECO BUS has been awarded two separate contracts covering electric buses and associated infrastructure for the Limoges Metropole transport network (TCL). As a global integrator of electric mobility solutions, IVECO BUS will supply 20 to 45 GX 437 ELEC LINIUM high-service articulated electric buses. The associated charging infrastructure will be supplied, deployed and maintained by Dalkia Electrotechnics, including electrical infrastructure, chargers and ABB E-mobility charging domes. 13 GX 337 ELEC standard electric buses will also be supplied, with an option to increase the total to 40 vehicles Deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2028 and continue over four years.

Through this approach, we reaffirm our commitment to supporting local authorities and operators in deploying high-performance, reliable zero-emission public transport solutions,” said Giorgio Zino, Head of IVECO BUS Commercial Operations in Europe.The GX 437 ELEC LINIUM high-service articulated electric buses are equipped with high-capacity batteries, an upward pantograph for on-route charging and two depot charging sockets. Thermal comfort is ensured by a heat pump. The buses will accommodate more than 150 passengers, including 34 seated and two PRM spaces. On-board features include smooth acceleration, ambient lighting, air conditioning, information displays and USB ports, and a camera-based rear-view system replacing traditional exterior mirrors.
The GX 337 ELEC standard buses feature 3 access doors, 23 seats and 2 PRM spaces. They are equipped with 7 battery packs and are recharged at the depot. Air conditioning and USB ports are included as standard. Charging stations will be procured separately from this contract.
