Two stalwarts of Irish road transport, are pictured together at the handover of a new Dennison Curtainside rear-steer trailer (Naas, County Kildare) to Hyland Transport (Roseallis, County Laois). Joe Hyland and George Dennison’s share a lifetime in the trade spans more than six decades. In fact their business relationship has remained unbroken, with many dealings over that time.
This new Curtainside rear-steer semi-trailer is the first of its type to be built by Dennisons, offering efficient manoeuvrability of a rigid truck. It is also fitted with a 3-tonne cantilever tail-lift, supplied by Ballinlough (Dublin). Pulling the said trailer is a new Iveco S-Way 580 4×2 tractor-unit, purchased from Longhaul Commercials, Tullamore, County Offaly, one of four new examples from the Italian brand acquired by Hyland Transport this year.
