Megalift Ltd., the heavy lift equipment manufacturer, has announced over 10 new jobs and a significant expansion of its operations. This new expansion is set to include a substantial 30,000 sq.ft. development alongside its existing manufacturing facility in Ballinode, County Monaghan.
These new jobs which will include a diverse range of roles to include fabricators, fitters and design are due to the increasing demand for Megalift’s products.
The new 30,000 sq. ft facility at Megalift’s headquarters in Ballinode is key to the company’s growth to increase production to accommodate on-going global demand. This new space will also enable the company to have a dedicated R&D department.
The new jobs will be created over the next 12 months will help strengthen employment in the local area and the development on the new facility is expected to commence this June.
Commenting to RTE TV at the announcement, Meredith Hall, Managing Director, Megalift Ltd. said, “We are delighted to announce this major new investment and expansion of our operations. The company has grown from strength to strength since its setup in 2017 and this significant investment just reaffirms our commitment to the industry. We are now entering a new phase of development which will help us increase our output to meet the demands of our customers worldwide. By the end of 2023, we plan to have doubled our capacity from 40 machines to 80 machines per annum. We look forward to bringing our operations to the next exciting chapter.”
