2017

At the CNH Industrial UK HQ in Basildon, Iveco this week launched the MY2022 Daily which according to Mike Cutts, Light Business Line Director UK & Ireland ‘takes innovation and connectivity to new heights with best-in-class comfort and safety, even greater levels of mission focus, and reductions in TCO …’

“It has a new 6-speed manual gearbox. Precision gear engagement and the very best in gearshift feel and comfort will make it a favourite for drivers, especially in urban around-town applications … It adopts new state-of-the-art engine technology, giving full compliance to ‘Light Duty Step D Final’ and ‘Heavy Duty Step E’ requirements ahead of new regulations. Daily’s 2.3 litre F1A now delivers up to 6% fuel savings over the previous model, whilst its new 6-speed manual gearbox enables a torque increase of up to 15%,” he said.

“Staying focused on the driver, new Daily is the first in the industry to adopt new memory foam seats! These mould to the body, distributing weight evenly and reducing pressure peaks by as much as 30% for supreme comfort and protection from back pain. And that’s not all – the seat sides have been redesigned to make it even easier to get in and out of the vehicle, easing life for the driver multi-drop applications. With welfare of both load and driver in mind, New Daily offers the option of IVECO’s revolutionary AIR-PRO pneumatic suspension system. Through CDC (or Continuous Damping Control), this adapts almost instantly to changes to the road surface, reducing vibrations by 25% – whilst AIR-PRO adapts to the vehicle load to reduce the vehicle’s roll angle by up to 30% in bends. The result? A supremely safe and comfortable driving experience.”

“Finally, new Daily takes connectivity to new levels with IVECO DriverPal, through Amazon Alexa voice commands, DriverPal enables the driver to interact with both the vehicle and driver community through two unique functions – MYIVECO – which enables the driver to check the health of the vehicle, set and manage its navigation system, ask for assistance if needed and request driving style tips to save fuel and travel safely. And MYCOMMUNITY – putting the driver in touch with others to check on things like delays and traffic congestion, even just putting the world to rights! It’s like a digital CB radio!”
