- Ennis, County Clare – 21/22 September 2019
Trucks of all ages, shapes and sizes will converge at the Auburn Lodge Hotel, Ennis (off the M18/R458) to participate in the biennial Truck Run 4 Katie, the established fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis in honour of Katie Drennan.
Resulting from the successful similar events in 2015 and 2017, monies raised has been put to good use with the purchase of high-tech medical equipment for the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Unit in the Leben Building at the University Hospital Limerick (UL). Katie Drennan, daughter of Spa Transport owner Eugene Drennan, died in February 2015 at the tender age of 24 and always wanted to help other Cystic Fibrosis sufferers attending this hospital. The Truck Run will also remember Eugene’s wife Linda Lee Drennan who passed away earlier this year and worked tirelessly in the fundraising event.
