Prime Design Europe to present latest electromechanical innovation for LCVs to eliminate work injuries when transporting ladders

856

Prime Design Europe, leading manufacturer of ergonomic roof racks, ladder racks and interior equipment for LCVs, has always put workers’ health and safety at the centre of its products’ engineering. At IAA Transportation trade show, PDE presents the coming electrical version of its rear deployment ladder rack in Hall 13, Stand G58 aiming to reduce to zero the number of injuries due to ladder transportation!

IAA Transportation trade show is a fantastic opportunity to preview PDE electric ladder rack, soon to be launched!

Specially designed with workers in mind, and developed side-by-side with fleet managers, ErgoBACK ladder roof rack allows users to safely load, unload and secure ladders from the back of all Light Commercial Vehicles. The electrified version is presented on PDE’s stand in Hall 13 Stand G58 at the IAA Transportation tradeshow from September 20th to 25th. Check there how workers can secure, lift and bring down ladders of any size, weight and shape – including telescopic individual work platforms (PIR / PIRL) – in only 30 seconds and with zero impact on human body!

This little revolution is big news for fleet Health and Safety managers, as well as for any LCV owners who care about the impact of daily operations on workers and wish to have a long term strategy with low work injuries and low turnover of qualified staff.

How does ErgoBack Electric work?

ErgoBack Electric is the result of strong mechanical and electrical engineering. The loading and unloading operations are stable, strong and smooth thanks to an in-house developed damper system to absorb mechanical impact, associated with a unique combination of gas springs, cylinder, auto-tensioned drive unit, chrome ball bearing wheels and a more rigid design. Specifically designed to simultaneously apply a lifting force, as well as a rotation movement the ErgoBack Electric requires less space behind the vehicle to load and unload ladders.

The electrical system of ErgoBack is driven by a 24V motor with gearbox. Power can be supplied by the vehicle or by a dedicated 24V battery, charged via the 12V or 24V power socket, providing a separation from the vehicles main power system. Technical details about ErgoBack Electric and demonstrations can be found on Stand G58 in Hall H13 at IAA Transportation 2022.
