*Irish logistics leader achieves its strongest result to date in EcoVadis
Primeline Group has been ranked in the top 9% of more than 130,000 companies assessed worldwide by EcoVadis. EcoVadis is the world’s most trusted business sustainability rating.
Primeline, Ireland’s largest independent logistics and route-to-market provider, achieved a score of 78/100. This is the company’s best performance to date and was achieved under a significantly expanded assessment scope.
Primeline retained its Silver medal while moving from five sites to eleven ISO-certified sites in this year’s review, more than doubling the number of facilities assessed. Improving its score under this broader scope signals the strength and consistency of Primeline’s sustainability systems across Ireland and the UK.
The company’s performance stands out in a sector where the average score is around 45/100. Sustainable Procurement rose 20 points to 84, Ethics increased 17 points to 79, and Environment held at 85, placing Primeline among the strongest performers in the global logistics industry.
For retailers and brands, Primeline’s rating carries direct commercial significance. The emissions of Primeline’s fleet sit within customers’ Scope 3 supply chain footprint. Over the past year, Primeline cut the direct emissions of its own fleet by 57% by transitioning most of its articulated fleet to certified HVO biofuel. Since 2021/22, the company has reduced its total carbon footprint by 34.9%, independently verified and published in its annual Carbon Report.

Key achievements from the past year:

Total emissions down 34.9% since 2021/22, from 23,313 to 15,181 tonnes CO₂e across Scopes 1, 2 and 3.

857,799 litres of certified HVO biofuel consumed, now 54% of the fleet fuel mix, avoiding approximately 2,075 tonnes CO₂e – equivalent to taking around 940 cars off Irish roads for a year.

Fleet carbon intensity down 34%, from 987 to 650 g CO₂/km, with 11% fuel efficiency improvement year on year.

99.6% renewable electricity across all operating sites, with 579 MWh generated by more than 1,100 kWp of rooftop solar across distribution centres, including LEED Gold and Silver units at Ashbourne.

SMETA 4-Pillar audit passed with zero non-conformities, and ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications renewed through April 2028.
