At the start of 2026, Renault Master claimed the top spot in the European large van segment, for both its ICE and E-Tech electric versions. This market success demonstrates Renault’s ability to meet the needs of business customers with a comprehensive, multi-energy range adapted to all types of use. At the same time, Renault Master is continuing to move upmarket while maintaining the fundamentals behind its success: robust build, versatility and low running costs.
Designed to meet the demands of intensive use by business customers, Renault Master is expanding its range with a series of new features delivering upgrades in driving comfort, ergonomics and everyday versatility.
The E-Tech electric versions as well as the automatic petrol and diesel models gain a new centre console. The console has been redesigned to free up more space (+90 mm) and make it easier to move between the cabin and loading area. This new layout also improves comfort for the passenger in the middle, providing more leg and knee room.
The arrival of a badge for hands-free access and start-up also improves day-to-day usability.
In terms of safety, Renault Master is fitted with a driver attention monitoring camera and electric parking brake with Auto Hold, standard on all front-wheel-drive versions. E-Tech electric and automatic versions also now feature adaptive cruise control with dedicated steering wheel controls and an enhanced digital instrument cluster.
Renault is upgrading the performance of its electric range with a new battery manufactured in Europe and assembled in France, at the Renault Batilly plant. While capacity remains unchanged at 87 kWh, it now uses mid-nickel battery chemistry. This technology improves thermal management and optimises charging performance.
This new battery relies on an 11 kW bidirectional charger, or an optional 22 kW charger, now also bidirectional. Depending on the country, Renault Master will also be compatible with the new V2G (Vehicle-to-Grid) function from September 2026.
To address the requirements of modern business use, Renault Master ships with a 220V socket in both the cabin and loading area, supplying up to 3,500W of power. This allows business users to charge their cordless tools directly on board the vehicle – saving valuable time in day-to-day use.
The Renault Master E-Tech electric range is also gaining a new model: a chassis-cab version with a 40 kWh battery, complementing the existing 87 kWh model. This variant is a more affordable solution, tailored to the needs of municipalities and urban use.
At the same time, Renault is supporting motorhome fitters with specific technical upgrades, such as a wider rear track (+120 mm), making it easier to integrate living areas.
With Master, Renault is continuing to incorporate more recycled materials into its LCVs. The visible upper section of the dashboard now includes 20% of recycled plastic sourced from end-of-life vehicles. Developed as part of “The Future Is Neutral” ecosystem, this innovation allows materials sourced from recycled cars to be used on visible parts of the cabin, without compromising on quality, durability or safety. Through this initiative, Renault is showing that an end-of-life vehicle can also be used to design and build the models of tomorrow, directly reusing its materials in new vehicles.
With the “converted by Renault” label, Renault Master is expanding its range of plant-assembled conversions, with new dropside flatbed and tipper versions in aluminium or steel, developed by body converters JPM and Gruau respectively. A high-capacity model (20 to 23 m³ with a tail lift) completes the range, with a bus version planned for a later date.
