Businesses moving goods through the Netherlands should prepare for possible disruption on Friday 4 September, when industrial action is planned across several major Dutch ports.
The action is expected to affect Rotterdam, Amsterdam and Zeeland, with the strike currently scheduled between 11:15 and 19:00 local time.
During this period, reduced port activity could affect the handling and movement of cargo, with potential knock-on effects for vessel schedules and onward transport. The level of disruption may vary by port and terminal, and delays could extend beyond the strike period as operations recover.
Customers with time-sensitive shipments moving through the Netherlands on or around 4 September are encouraged to plan for additional lead time where possible.
Woodland Group is monitoring the situation and will share further information should there be any significant changes to the expected disruption.
