For the second year in succession, Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicles Ireland has scooped the ‘2025 Irish Van of the Year’ award presented by members of the prestigious Motoring Media Association of Ireland (MMAI) whose membership includes contributors to Ireland’s leading broadcast media, national and regional press, specialist magazine, and online broadcast channels.
This year, the award was won by the Mercedes-Benz Vito panel van, repeating the success last year of the Mercedes-Benz Citan which won the ‘2024 Irish Van of the Year award in the same competition. In addition to the overall ‘2025 Irish Van of the Year’ award, Vito.
Presented at a gala awards ceremony in association with Continental Tyres, held in Dublin’s Conrad Hotel and attended by some 200 guests comprising leading personnel from Ireland’s motor industry, the awards have been presented annually for the past 47 years and rank as the premier and most sought-after honour conferred within the passenger car and light commercial vehicles sector in Ireland.
On presenting the trophy to Fergus Conheady, Sales Manager, Mercedes-Benz Ireland Commercial Vehicles, Tom Dennigan representing the award sponsors, Continental Tyres, said: “It is back-to-back wins for the Mercedes-Benz team as the Vito win follows on from the success of the Citan in last year’s Irish Van of the Year competition. The recommendations of the MMAI Irish Van of the Year jury are always a great guide to fleet operators, SME’s and van owners on the best vehicles for the particular requirements of the Irish market”.
