The Ram 1500 TRX was officially presented to European media and showcased as special guest at the 2022 edition of IPUA – International Pick-up Award held in Croatia, near Zadar, this week.
On the occasion, the expert panel from the International Van of the Year jury (IVOTY) jury were able to experience the class-leading, uncompromising performance of a 702-horsepower supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V-8 engine combined with a high-torque-capacity TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, which delivers a new level of performance with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The newcomer to the European marketplace was road tested along a coastal route with the off-road trails taking place on a dedicated mountain pass near Starigrad.
Even before now, the Ram 1500 TRX has been rigorously tested to handle the most punishing conditions with extreme capability and durability on its way to being the quickest and most powerful mass-produced half-ton Pick-up truck in the world.
A luxurious and spacious interior plus high technological and connectivity features include a 12-inch touchscreen Uconnect 4C NAV system and a 900-watt, 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
The Ram 1500 TRX benefits from up to 812.8 mm of water fording, up to 3,674 kg towing and a maximum payload capacity of 594 kg, to handle the most punishing conditions with extreme capability.
