Last year Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Ireland posted its highest volumes since 2019 thanks to record breaking performances from the Amarok, ID. Buzz Cargo and new Crafter. The German brand is poised to add more deliveries this year with the addition of several important new models including the seven-seat ID. Buzz LWB and GTX, the brand-new California camper and the long-awaited Volkswagen Transporter, which is now available with an all-electric option.
Order books are now open for the all-new Transporter Panel Van, the seventh generation of the iconic mid-sized light commercial. Initially available as a Panel Van, first customer deliveries are expected this Spring; available as either standard or long wheelbase, in a choice of trims.
The all-new Transporter is available with a number of powertrains – including diesel and electric powertrains – with a plug-in hybrid drive arriving in 2026.
Offering more space, increased payload and a redesigned interior, the seventh-generation Transporter also provides more technology and sophistication than ever before, and recently received a Platinum Euro NCAP rating, thanks to its high-performing safety technologies.
