Isuzu Ireland has presented its new all-terrain D-Max Arctic Trucks AT35 pick-up truck for the first time at the National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, County Offaly.
The extreme AT35 version of the multi-award-winning D-Max represents an exciting collaboration between Isuzu and renowned off-road vehicle experts, Arctic Trucks, who boast more than 30 years of experience in all-terrain vehicle engineering. Refinement and comfort meet extreme capabilities with the AT35, making it a desirable choice for 4×4 enthusiasts and operators regularly faced with challenging terrain.
Based upon the already rugged and dependable double cab D-Max, the AT35 offers customers the latest in off-road technology and innovation. Custom Bilstein suspension raises the ride height by an additional 40mm, while uprated front springs, new dampers and a full body lift provide the ground clearance needed to take on rutted tracks and rocky passes. Specific to the AT35 is a Rough Terrain driving mode that works hand in hand with Isuzu’s four-wheel-drive system and locking rear differential. The mode constantly adjusts vehicle inputs to maximise grip and traction.
A widened track reduces the AT35’s centre of gravity, providing greater traction on loose and slippery ground and reducing the risk of tipping. The flared wheel arches, a
signature design element of Arctic Truck vehicles, are filled with 35” BF Goodrich KO2 all-terrain tyres as standard. Extended side steps, muscular radiator grille, rear bar with multifunction hitch, mud flaps and roof rails complete the look.
Despite its go-anywhere nature, the AT35 maintains all of the interior features Isuzu customers have come to expect from the D-Max. Leather upholstery, an 8-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat and a fully adjustable steering wheel make the interior feel luxurious and comfortable. A 9” infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Autocapability provides a seamless integration of navigation and music apps. Dual zone climate control, a full suite of advanced driver assistance features and flexible seating solutions make the AT35 perfect for any expedition.
Performance comes from Isuzu’s dependable 1.9-litre turbodiesel four-cylinder engine, producing 360Nm of torque. Critically, this helps the AT35 to carry more than a tonne of payload and tow up to 3.5 tonnes.
Karl Haughton, Head of Sales & Dealer Network for Isuzu Ireland, said: “The new AT35 celebrates the versatility of the award-winning D-Max platform, combining off-road capability with the practicality and refinement of a class-leading pick-up truck. By working in partnership with the experts at Arctic Trucks, we’re able to offer customers an outstanding, all-terrain truck that has the substance to match the rugged style.”
Starting at €69,950 (+VAT) OTR and available to order now from Isuzu dealers across Ireland, each D-Max AT35 build is carried out by Isuzu and Arctic Truck technicians to ensure the highest levels of quality and compliance with type approvals. Every vehicle retains Isuzu’s five-year / 100,000-km warranty.
