BMI Trailers continues their long-standing partnership with Matras Recycling Europe with the supply of several new self-loading trailers. MRE, who are based in Apeldoorn, Netherlands have been using self-loading compactor trailers for many years now and are able to transport incredible volumes of recyclable mattresses per load. This collaboration with Dungannon-based manufacturer, BMI Trailers, further supports Matras Recycling’s mission to become one of the largest mattress recycling specialists across Europe.

This latest project involves the delivery of two additional MTT compactor self-loading trailers which will enable Matras to continue their transportation of high volumes of mattresses to their processing centres. Once there, an impressive array of up to 34 different materials are separated and salvaged for reuse, significantly reducing waste and promoting a circular economy.
Brendan McIlvanna, Managing Director of BMI Trailers stated: “We are very appreciative of Matras Recycling’s continued support over the years, and we are proud to contribute to their success by providing innovative equipment that enhances their operational capabilities and helps them to lead the way in reprocessing used and discarded mattresses across Europe.”
Ruud Kortink from Matras Recycling Europe is delighted with the products and services provided by BMI Trailers: “We are extremely pleased with the performance and reliability of BMI Trailers. Their MTT compactor trailers have become a crucial part of our collection and dismantling operations, allowing us to maximise the efficiency of our recycling process. The continued support and quality service from BMI are invaluable as we expand our efforts to set new standards in mattress recycling across Europe.”
