Excitement is building all over the island with just weeks to go before one of the standout national events for the Irish vintage and classic movement. On Sunday the 8th of June, the famous Galway Racecourse in Ballybrit will once again reverberate to the thunder of horsepower of a very different kind, when it opens its gates for Classic Fest 2025. Attracting a massive turnout of vintage and classic vehicles of all kinds, from cars to steam engines and all in-between, the last two years of Classic Fest have cemented its status as one of the premier events of their kind anywhere on the island, with even more family fun in store for 2025.

Hosted by Irish Vintage Scene, publishers of Ireland’s leading old vehicle magazines, Classic Fest will this year support one of the best-loved charities in the country in the BUMBLEance children’s ambulance service, which each year undertakes approximately 2,000 trips for children in need of specialist medical attention during transport. Operating to reduce stress on young patients and financial hardship on their parents during, BUMBLEance is the first service of its kind in the world, with fifteen vehicles specially kitted out with flat-screen TVs, onboard wifi, games consoles, music, books and more, to make each journey as comfortable and fun as it can possibly be. Other local Charites such as Galway Sick Kids, Claddagh Watch and Blood Bike West will also benefit form the event

Classic Fest has already become renowned as much for its family fun and entertainment as its epic line-up of vintage and classic vehicles. This year’s live music artists have just been confirmed, with the crowds rocking to both Galway bands The Crux and The Gambles over the course of the day. Free kids’ activities will be dotted all around the massive venue, along with autojumble and trade stands of all kinds and food vendors catering for every taste to make the day a memorable outing for all ages. And, acres of free parking will make getting to and from the event a doddle.

“We are delighted to return to Galway Racecourse for Classic Fest 2025,” said event organiser Thomas Heavey of Irish Vintage Scene, Oranmore, Galway. “It’s undoubtedly one of the finest venues in the country for such an event, which along with the fantastic support of the vintage and classic fraternity and the general public has contributed to it becoming one of the biggest events on the summer show calendar. With further announcements in store over the coming weeks, we look forward to welcoming you all to Classic Fest on Sunday the 8thh of June.”
