Charge4Europe, the joint venture between DKV and innogy eMobility Solutions, is further expanding the infrastructure for emobility in Italy and integrating Ekomobil’s charging network. With access to 13,000 additional public charging points, DKV offers its customers in Italy network coverage of well over 90 percent.

“The connection to the charging network operated by Ekomobil marks another important milestone on our way to becoming ‘Lead in Green’,” explained Sven Mehringer, Managing Director Energy & Vehicle Services. “DKV aims to lead the mobility and transport sector into a more sustainable future.”

Federico Bosio, Ekomobil Project Manager for e-mobility, said: “The future of e-mobility undoubtedly lies in interoperability. This partnership with DKV, which has already been strengthened over time with Keropetrol, gives all DKV customers access to our network so that they can charge electricity at an increasing number of stations in Italy. DKV has always been an important strategic partner. We now want to further elevate this relationship.”

The partnership between DKV and Ekomobil shareholder Keropetrol S.p.A. already goes back to the traditional fuel market. DKV customers currently have more than 200 Keropetrol filling stations throughout Italy at their disposal. With the focus to promote energy transition, the two providers are now expanding their partnership to include the supply of electric vehicles. From now on, DKV Cards are accepted at Ekomobil’s public charging points.
