Giti Tire entertains with super-sized action at Donington’s Convoy in the Park 2025

Official tyre partner of the British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC), Giti Tire hosted over 800 guests from around Europe for two days super-sized action at Donington’s 2025 Convoy in the Park.

Partners from big fleet contracts and Giti Dealers were treated to a weekend to remember with celebrity drivers, more than 1000 show trucks, an adrenaline-fuelled live action arena, a music stage, driving experiences and an interactive kids’ zone providing the backdrop to nine unforgettable races.

With a special Giti area providing much needed shade from the sun, guests from the UK & Ireland, Germany, Portugal and Switzerland were also invited to get up-close with Giti’s leading role in delivering truck performance and safety with visits to the pit lane and the tyre technical area.

The supersized action was split across two series, with Stuart and Michael Oliver and Giti Tire’s Martin Gibson, Manager – EU Testing Centre and Motorsport UK driving three Giti Tire Motorsport livered trucks across five BTRC races to secure three podium finishes, including two memorable victories for Michael.

Donington Park also saw the International Truck Prix return for four more races, with Isle-of-Mann legend John McGuinness MBE and BTRC promotor and director, Steve Thomas getting behind the wheel of the Team Oliver Racing trucks and securing one trophy.

Giti Tire remains the Official Partner and Exclusive Tyre Supplier to the BTRC, with all competition trucks fitted with GitiCompete Race-Tuned v1 competition truck tyres in size 315/70R22.5.

Giti Tire Motorsport activity continues to focus on the manufacturer’s position as global automotive tyre partner of Sparco®, the world’s leading manufacturer of motorsport safety systems and racing equipment, with the Giti – Powered by Sparco® logo appearing across the site.

Convoy in the Park also proved a massive success for the manufacturer’s European Marketing Team across social media.

They created a series of video stories across the weekend to bring the action to life which resulted in an increase of 658% in views across Facebook and Instagram in the UK and an additional 519% in reach. Engagement was also up by 247%.

The numbers for Germany were also impressive with an increase in social media views by 169%, reach by over 67% and engagement by 181%.
