Higer has emerged as the primary challenger to the number one spot in Ireland’s coach market, racking-up a 200% increase year-on-year, and outselling several long-established brands to secure second position in the market.
The impressive performance in Ireland, which saw Higer outstrip multiple traditional manufacturers, provides the springboard for the ambitious UK market entry through Harris Bus & Coach UK, including news today of a dedicated showroom and head office facility opening in Worksop in March 2026. The new facility will follow the delivery of 45 vehicles, all with GB Type Approval, being shipped to the UK later this month, including V10, V12 and tri-axle V14 coaches, both base and touring models, along with electric city buses.
Building on this momentum, Harris Bus & Coach UK will showcase the three V Series models at the CV Show, NEC, in April 2026, marking the brand’s public introduction to UK operators. The models represent Higer’s premium touring coach range, featuring Euro VI powertrains, high-specification interiors and advanced safety systems designed for long-distance and executive transport operations.
The new Worksop facility, opening in March 2026, will serve as Harris Bus & Coach UK’s headquarters, providing dedicated showroom space, aftersales support and parts distribution for the UK market. The investment underscores Harris Group’s commitment to establishing Higer as a credible alternative to incumbent manufacturers.
Higer’s rapid growth in Ireland reflects increasing operator confidence in the brand’s build quality, specification levels and competitive pricing across its coach range. The performance marks a significant shift in the market in Ireland, traditionally dominated by established European manufacturers.
