- D-Max continues to meet farmers’ and trade operators’ requirements in Ireland

- Export milestone reinforces long-term aftersales, workshop and parts support
Isuzu exceeded three million global light commercial vehicle (LCV) exports in September 2025 – including the brand’s popular D-Max pickup model – reflecting sustained demand across more than 120 markets worldwide. The momentum is being echoed in Ireland, where a 41% year-to-date growth in registrations point to increased operator confidence and fleet renewal investment from farming, construction and associated trade customers.
Isuzu’s global export milestone is centred on its major production and export operations in Japan and Thailand, which supply markets across Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Australasia. Vehicles are engineered specifically for demanding commercial operations, with a focus on durability, reliability and low whole-life operating costs.
The worldwide export success is reflected in continued demand in Ireland from agricultural, construction and trade customers, where the D-Max pickup range is appealing to operators seeking a proven workhorse capable of meeting both on- and off-road requirements. Isuzu Ireland is also developing its dealer footprint and aftersales capability in support of this demand, ensuring nationwide coverage, parts availability and technical expertise.
Recent dealer appointments including Dan Seaman Motors (Cork), Hugo Loonam Motors (Offaly), J Kelly Motors (Wicklow), Cabra Cars (Cavan) – and more in the pipeline – underline a strategy focused on regional access and long-term customer relationships.
Karl Haughton, Managing Director at Isuzu Ireland, said, “Reaching three million LCV exports is a significant achievement for Isuzu globally, reinforcing what our customers experience locally every day – vehicles built for hard work and engineered to last. In Ireland, that reputation is particularly important in sectors where uptime, durability and running costs directly affect profitability. Our focus remains on supporting customers through a strong dealer network and ensuring D-Max continues to deliver in real-world operating conditions.”
The export milestone reinforces Isuzu’s position as a global vehicle producer, supported by sustained investment in product development, manufacturing capability and international distribution. For operators in Ireland, it underlines confidence in long-term product continuity, parts availability and aftersales support, as the company builds on this momentum with proven LCV products and an expanding dealer network aligned to evolving rural and urban customer requirements.
