Kögel Trailer presents new tipper trailer at bauma 2025

Kögel Trailer GmbH will present its newly developed Kögel tipper trailer at this year’s bauma exhibition in Munich, Germany. The company has developed this innovation to expand its product portfolio for the construction industry, road construction and waste disposal. The low tare weight of the trailer enables an optimised payload. A balanced chassis and a wide, low-lying trough ensure a high load capacity and driving stability. The single-piece trough promises better wear resistance and therefore a longer service life, while offering companies in the construction industry and ancillary building trade greater flexibility and efficiency on the road as well as in the sand or gravel pit.

The optimal ratio of tare weight to payload of the new Kögel tipper trailer is extremely impressive. The compact version weighs only 5,200 kilograms and offers optional trough sizes of 24 m³ and 27 m³.

The high-strength fine grain steel that Kögel uses in the chassis frame guarantees maximum durability and stability. The reinforced subframe ensures an optimal distribution of force when tipping, while the weight-optimised, torsion-resistant chassis ensures maximum stability. The short, agile wheelbase allows for easier manoeuvring and ensures outstanding driving characteristics. The Kögel tipper trailer has also been assessed according to DEM standards and tested on rough roads and by customers

Innovative trough construction ensures outstanding stability

The wide, single piece, welded, low-lying trough lends the trailer greater stability due to the low centre of gravity. Manufactured from wear-resistant, heat-treated steel sheeting, it meets the demanding requirements of the construction industry. “The smooth, straight inner surface minimises dirt deposits and allows for easier cleaning,”

explains product manager Wolfgang Reitböck. “When taking customer requests into consideration, we found that less is more when it comes to trough construction!” Every protruding edge, every angle and every weld seam causes unwanted material deposits – both inside and out.

An integral roof prevents the loss of cargo while the trailer is moving and can be operated manually or electronically. The wear and corrosion-resistant steel sheeting makes the trough ideal for transporting abrasive materials such as aggregate, sand and gravel.

The impressive tipping angle of 49° guarantees fast, efficient unloading without leaving behind any material residues.

Perfect for transporting asphalt

The trough on the proven Kögel asphalt tipper trailer incorporates water-repellent, temperature-resistant rigid foam insulation in a floating, maintenance-friendly design. It features the proven, two-piece Kögel design.  The 170 mm extended through overhang makes road construction much easier. A practical sliding roof that can be operated either manually or using a remote control reduces heat and material loss.

The short wheelbase of the trailer is ideal for manoeuvring in tight spaces. Further highlights include an extendible ladder for safe entry and standard access steps in the trough. Customers also have the option of choosing an asphalt spreader, which allows the precision dosing of small quantities of material.

The reliable asphalt tipper trailer, which is characterised by a lightweight construction with high-strength fine grain steel and a load volume of 24m³ or 27m³ is the perfect addition to Kögel’s road and asphalt construction portfolio and is ideal for use on construction sites.

High-quality materials and a durable design

Kögel focuses on low operating costs, high efficiency and an extended service life of its trailers. Using top-quality materials, effective corrosion protection and a maintenance-friendly design, Kögel tipper vehicles represent a sustainable investment for companies in the construction industry.
