In keeping with the motto of Solutrans 2021, “International show for road and urban transport solutions”, Krone will be showing two vehicles and its comprehensive “Krone 360° Trailer Service” programme at its stand 4 C085 in hall EXT in the EurExpo.

As a typical trailer for French distribution transport, the latest generation of the Profi Liner City will be presented, which is equipped with a transportable forklift. The manoeuvrable two-axle semi-trailer is tailor-made for the special challenges of city logistics: with fast-acting single-bar forced steering and a chassis that retains its value for a long time thanks to cathodic dip painting plus powder coating. The low-maintenance forced steering system is bolted into the chassis and allows driving manoeuvres even in the tightest of spaces due to the steering angle of 25 degrees.

Krone’s new Box Liner generation combines unbeatable payload with a very low tare weight for the booming container transport sector, which is achieved by the central tube design and the use of high-quality S700 fine-grained steel The long-wheelbase Krone Box Liner eLTU 55 shown in Lyon is an all-rounder suitable for basically all common containers from 20′ to 45′. It also enables 45′ containers with long tunnels and both sloping and straight corners to be transported in compliance with the rules due to the front extension. The patented traction rear also provides improved fifth-wheel load when transporting 20′ containers flush with the rear. As a gooseneck chassis, it is predestined for cross-border transport in countries with a height restriction of 4 metres and also impresses domestically due to its low centre of gravity height.

In the service area, Krone will present the expanded Europe-wide service initiative “Krone 360° Trailer Service”. The focus here is on the manufacturer-independent telematics platform “Krone Telematics”, the new spare parts brand Krone Trusted, which can save up to 50 percent on the cost of original spare parts, and Krone Fair Care. Krone offers this flexible modular system to take care of maintenance and wear-and-tear repairs on trailers for 24 to 72 months. Fair Care is available in three practical packages that build on each other: “Light”, “Basic” or “Complete”.
