The National Office for Traffic Medicine is delivering the Certificate in Road Safety, Mobility and Health course, which was developed by the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland (RCPI) and the Road Safety Authority (RSA).
The course was designed for professionals working in the transport, road safety and health sectors and provides an overview of the Safe System approach and an increased understanding of how interactions between health, policy, human factors, engineering, and education can affect risk on the roads. This course is popular with fleet managers, health and safety professionals, engineers, teachers, first responders (police, ambulance, fire brigade), road safety officers.
The course is delivered fully online and includes video instruction, an interactive one-day workshop and a final online multiple-choice assessment. The one-day online workshop is delivered by experts in traffic medicine and psychology, public health, engineering and forensic collision investigation. Participants who complete all three course elements will be awarded the RCPI Certificate in Road Safety, Mobility & Health including 14 Continuous Professional Development credits.
