Goggins Transport Limited has taken delivery of two new Actros 2553 tractor-units, in addition to the four delivered earlier this year. This recent purchase brings the number to over 70 Mercedes-Benz trucks now operating from its depots in Dublin, Galway and Liverpool.
Supplied by Naas Road-based Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle dealer, MUTEC, and finished in Goggins Transport’s eye-catching white and red livery, the two new Actros units are powered by 530hp Euro 6D engines, each with a 12-speed PowerShift automated gearbox.
Driver comfort features include Giga Space cabs on air suspension, style line package, LED interior lights, Edition 2 sun visors with spot lights. Apple Car Play, satellite navigation and bluetooth, amongst other comfort and safety items.

Two new Mercedes-Benz Actros 2540L 6×2 rigid trucks are proving to be a ‘glass act’ for independent Irish glass processor, Carey Glass.
The Nenagh-based firm has recently taken delivery of the two new Actros 3-axle drawbar rigids. This investment now brings the number of Mercedes-Benz trucks to 29 on its fleet of heavy commercial vehicles.

ESB Networks has bolstered its fleet of light commercial vehicles with the recent addition of two new Mercedes-Benz 516 Sprinter 4×4 vans.
Factory paint finished in ESB Networks distinctive yellow livery, the new panel vans will soon be going into operation at the company’s Wilton & South Lotts Road depots, carrying out MV/LV cable fault and diagnostic work.
