NTA now accepting Applications for 2026 Event & Venue Licences

The NTA (National Transport Authority) have begun accepting applications for event & venue licences for the 2026 season. In a recent circular to operators, they offer some guidance about applications and operations.

    Pre-approved stops

Where possible, please use the stops on the approved list. All 434 stops have been pre-approved by the relevant Local Authority for use on event and venue licences. This means that if you use these stops in your event and venue timetables, you will not be required to obtain stop approval. This list will be available on the Authority’s website shortly. You can check the stop locations of these stops on a map by entering the stop ID into this website:

    Online applications Portal

The link to the online Portal is: https://ntabuslicencing.powerappsportals.com/

If you wish to register to use the Portal, please reply to this email with the full name, email, and phone number of the person to contact.

    Email applications still accepted

If you do not wish to use the Portal to submit applications, we continue to accept email applications. The pre-approved stops are also valid for use as part of an emailed application. Please email your applications to bus.app@nationaltransport.ie
