The IVECO eDaily was amongst a selection of versatile eLCVs on the market designed with bodybuilders – and the diverse missions they cater for – at the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show within the EV Café Village.
The IVECO eDaily ‘Box Clever’ is a bespoke box van designed to showcase the eDaily’s class-leading capabilities. Based on the new IVECO eDaily 7.2t chassis cab, the ‘Box Clever’ van is a prime example of this EV’s potential. A one-off Bodywork Solutions lightweight composite 6-metre box body is hosted by the vehicle’s durable truck-based chassis and serves as the perfect canvas for this IVECO’s distinctive design.
Transforming from van to mobile stage, a large hydraulically assisted side door and deployable stairs grants access to an interior entirely powered by the eDaily’s up to 50kW ePTO. At the heart of this space is a cutting-edge VR simulator rig and 85” QLED TV for guests to virtually test drive the new IVECO S-Way or set a ‘hot lap’ in an IVECO racing truck. The ePTO also powers lighting, a PA system, as well as multiple charge points for anything from laptops to smart devices.
This eDaily will be attending events and has been specified with four modular batteries for a total capacity of 148kW and a range of up to 400 kms/248 miles. A 20-80% charge via a 115kW rapid charge takes just 45 minutes, while an opportunistic 20-minute rapid charge can add up to 60 miles of range. Additionally, a Trailer Solar Panel further increases the eDaily’s range.

David Sims, Body Work Solutions Director, said: “The IVECO Daily has always been a popular platform for bodybuilders, and the eDaily takes up the mantle for those going electric – it even features the same body mounting points as the diesel model. The ‘Box Clever’ project is a big vehicle, but it’s class-leading turning circle makes it plenty manoeuvrable.’
Mike Cutts, Business Line Director Full Range UK & ROI at IVECO, said: “The name speaks for itself… This eDaily is the ultimate proof of concept for what an all-electric box van can be. It’s extensive use of ePTO, four modular batteries, and unique body means this ‘box of tricks’ is sure to draw a crowd at shows and events.”
