Shining lights in dark times!
In the past few days the Fleet Transport office received this lovely surprise in the post. A letter from James, aged 8, from Coolaney, County Sligo accompanied by a selection of superb drawings of trucks of different makes and vintage, carefully finished with great detail. James and his brother Adam (11), are disappointed that all the truck shows are cancelled this year.
Excerpts from the letter is as follows: “My name is James and I love your magazine because I love trucks. Myself and my brother love drawing pictures of trucks and we would love if your magazine could do a children’s art page, so we could send you in some of our drawings. Thank you for a great magazine.”
Sorry James that we don’t have a children’s art page but you and Adam deserve to be included in our Picture of the Week feature.
James painted the Scania R730 V8 6×2 with two 20’ container boxes on a Dennison trailer, an ERF EC10 6×2 loaded with ballast weights and a MAN 6×2 with Hitachi digger on a low-loader, while Adam drew the Volvo F88 6×2 tractor-unit. Great stuff boys, thanks!
