Training is essential for a ‘Return to Work’

CILT SKILLNET, the National Agency for Worldplace Learning is providing training courses for companies as they prepare to return to business, sponsored by the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT). To date these courses are filling up. See training courses details and dates below.

CILT Skilnet received an overwhelming response to their initial COVID-19 Designated Person Training course. The modules were fully booked in a matter of hours and to meet this demand they are running an additional course on 18 June.

In addition to the Designated Person Training, they are running a Returning to Work with COVID-19 Training Programme. This programme is for Business Owners and Managers and has been designed to help plan for the practicalities of a safe return to work for employees, contractors, suppliers, customers and visitors etc.

All CILT Skillnet COVID-19 Training Programmes can be delivered on an in-company basis and can be tailored to meets specific sectors.

COVID-19: Designated Person Training

The Return to Work Safely Protocol published by the Department of Business, Enterprise &  Innovation with its underlying guideline for all sectors in reopening their workplaces has specifically mentioned the nomination of a COVID-19 Designated Person in each place of work and for them to receive training in this role.

This online, trainer-led webinar will provide an overview of the role, what is required of them and a list of safety considerations for the workplace they will have to implement, monitor, review and report on.
