  • The leading exhibition for road transport and logistics will be back at Fiera Milano with 346 exhibitors. With the participation of heavy-duty vehicle manufacturers representing more than 80% of the market
  • The hot topics of the moment will be at the centre of discussion: incentives, high fuel prices, energy transition, lack of drivers. The event will focus on the most advanced vehicles, thanks to digitalization and alternative powertrains. Goal: renewing the vehicle fleet in order to reduce emissions and improve road safety
  • The background is a dynamic market: heavy-duty registrations have surpassed the levels of 2019; logistics is worth 86 billion euros and road transport continues to account for 80% of the goods shipped

Transpotec Logitec, the leading event in Italy for road transport and logistics, scheduled at Fiera Milano from 12 to 15 May 2022, is getting ready to welcome professionals, offering a platform for business and dialogue. The location will be Milan, in the heart of Lombardy, a region that represents the first national logistics hub and one of the main logistics junctions with the European and world markets.

Third-party logistics proved to be a robust market in Italy: according to the latest available data, 2021 closed with a turnover of €86 billion, almost reaching the €87 billion of 2019 and after a slight decline in 2020 (source: “Gino Marchet” Contract Logistics Observatory). Road transport continues to account for the majority of transportation dynamics, with over 80% of goods travelling by truck.

Transpotec Logitec, with the participation of 346 companies, 15% of which coming from abroad, will showcase the best innovations for road transport and logistics. The presence of manufacturers, which have never been so numerous, is fundamental for this edition. Heavy-duty vehicles will see the presence of DAF Trucks, Ford Trucks, Iveco, Mercedes-Benz Trucks Italia, Scania, Volvo Trucks, brands that together account for more than 80% of the vehicles sold in the last two years. For what concerns LCV, in addition to Iveco and Mercedes-Benz Trucks Italia, which will present their entire range, there will also be Ford Italia and Piaggio.

The issue of safety will be a focus of attention as well: the strong process of digitalization makes vehicles safer and safer, thanks to electronics and sensors that provide driving support and promote greater control of the vehicle. Therefore, the way of driving is changing – making the life of hauliers easier, more comfortable and safer – but what’s evolving is also – and above all – logistics, thanks to connected systems that make it possible to optimize journeys, constantly control the load and trace the entire logistics chain, while managing times in the best possible way and guaranteeing the monitoring of temperatures (fundamental for the food and pharmaceutical industries).

In the large outdoor area of Largo Nazioni, directly accessible from the exhibition halls, it will also be possible to get on board and try out the vehicles. Created in collaboration with the Italian TV show Next to the Truckers, the test drive area will allow visitors to try out the latest vehicles from the exhibitors and the widest range of engines – diesel, gas and electric – alongside motivated instructors capable of illustrating the vehicle at its best.

Again in the outdoor area, within Pavilions 18 and 22, will be held Piazza dell’Usato (Second-hand Area), organized by Next to the Truckers: an exhibition of more than 1,000 square meters where second-hand vehicles, selected by the best Italian dealers according to strict standards of reliability and safety, will be available to all visitors. An opportunity to evaluate multiple alternatives within a single context and to open purchase negotiations.
